THE CONTEST PROCESS
All Films will be visible in the Moviebuff website. Moviebuff either through itself or through its associates (including but not limited to Little Shows and the like service providers) will scrutinise the Films for conditions mentioned under the ambit of “REJECTION/DISQUALIFICATION”. Any Film found flouting the “REJECTION/DISQUALIFICATION” terms will be deleted immediately without any prior notice to the Contestant. Moviebuff cannot be and shall not be held liable for such unilateral action.
SELECTION PROCESS:-
• Moviebuff shall nominate a panel of eminent jurists comprising of film makers and film enthusiasts to assist Moviebuff in shortlisting the Films.
The Juries lists:

• Selva RK (Editor)
• Philomin Raj (Editor)
• Theni Eshwar (DOP)
• Halitha Shameem (Writer/Director)
• Sreekar Prasad (Editor)
• Sreedhar Pillai (Film Critics)
• Karthick Subbaraj (Writer/Director)
Guest:
• Pradeep Ranganathan (Actor)
• Moviebuff reserves the sole rights to shortlist Films from the submitted Films. Moviebuff decision on the shortlisted Contestants is final and binding for all Contestants.
TOP 5 SELECTION PROCESS:-
• The shortlisted Films will be published on the Moviebuff page/application for casting of vote by general public.
• There is no option for general public to cast negative vote.
• On the basis of the votes received by each of the shortlisted Contestant, 5 Contestants shall be shortlisted by Moviebuff.
REJECTION/DISQUALIFICATION:-
Moviebuff reserves the sole right to disqualify any entry if:
• Contestant’s Film is not in consonance with the T&C;
• Contestant does not own/possess valid and lawful rights over the Film;
• Any Contestant using manipulative means to garner more votes or jeopardise any other or jeopardise any other Contestant’s entry by any means
• Any Contestant’s Film (either partly or in entirety) which is obscene, vulgar, libelous, defamatory, insulting, annoying, blasphemous, hurting religious sentiments, rude, appalling, insensitive, offensive in nature/ against moral sensibilities shall be not be considered for participation and duly rejected right away.
• Moviebuff reserves the sole right to disqualify any Contestant (including the winner) if it has reasonable reasons to believe that the Contestant/winner has breached any of the “T&C” of the Contest.
• Any Contestant found to be copying other Contestants’ video/text or using any unauthorized or copyrighted video/text shall be immediately banned from the Contest. Moviebuff shall not be liable for any copyright claims arising so forth.
• Moviebuff shall not be responsible in any manner to anybody including any of the Contestants for the misuse of any video/text submissions at this Contest
Moviebuff decision in this regard shall be final and binding.
THE GRAND FINALE:-
• The shortlisted 5 Contestants’ Film will compete for the top position in the Grand Finale.
• The top 5 Films will get a chance to be screened in selected QUBE network theatres across the state of Tamil Nadu. The Films to be screened in a particular theatre and the QUBE network Theatres shall be at the sole discretion of Moviebuff.
• Moviebuff will create five theatre groups. Each set of theatre will play one selected Film once in a week and for a period of 5 weeks.
• General public will be invited to vote for their favourite Film by either SMS voting/apps based voting.
• The top 5 Contestants shall be required to obtain a certificate from Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to screen the Film at the selected theatres within [7] days of being intimated by Moviebuff.
• Moviebuff may, but does not have an obligation to, facilitate the Contestant to obtain the censor certification from CBFC however shall not be held responsible in the event such certificate being refused by CBFC for any reason whatsoever.
• If You fail to obtain a certificate from CBFC within the reasonable period prescribed by Moviebuff, Your Film shall not be eligible to be play back at the Final. The Contestant next to You having the highest number of votes shall be chosen in Your place.
THE FILM WHICH HAS RECEIVED THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF VOTES SHALL BE THE TITLE WINNER OF “MovieBuff Big Shorts”.
